Succeeding Over the Internet
Up until a year ago, Katheryn Mary Labosky was enjoying success in a workplace in which she had enjoyed a long, promising history. Then fate stepped in. Her younger brother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and she had no choice but to officially step down from her coveted position. However, she was still faced with the role of sole breadwinner in the household, and so she began toying with the idea of starting my own in-house Internet business.
"Both scared and elated at the possibilities, I turned on the computer and went to work. I read every ounce of material about doing business on the Internet that I could find, including the newsletters sent out by Freelance Work Exchange, the first work exchange program I had joined."
And what was the result?
"I make a decent living now," she says. "Despite the odds, and despite my being a novice of the net. Every week is now better than the one before it. Every day, I still learn something that I did not know the day before. Every hour, I still have my ups and downs. However, my business is still out there, and still attracting customers and clients on a regular basis. I still take each and every contract that is offered to me, no matter how big or how small."
Would she ever go back to working outside the home?
"No. I have come to enjoy the freedom and the sense of accomplishment that this business has afforded me. While not rich, I am extremely solvent, and I have the opportunity to enjoy time with my brother and my children. Success on the Internet is possible, but knowing the ropes is mandatory. Using the materials provided by Freelance Work Exchange will show a major improvement in your business acumen, as it did in mine." |
